Closing day on Brookside Lane: 7 sets of keys, no Hardware Bible
Late Friday after a closing on Brookside Lane, a new owner called Premier from the driveway. Title company had handed over a manila envelope with 7 keys, 2 garage remotes, and no paperwork on which cylinders had been rekeyed in the prior 11 years.
We rolled a truck inside 22 minutes from the gatehouse call. David personally rekeyed the front door (Schlage Primus), the garage entry (MUL-T-LOCK), the lanai slider deadbolt, the pool-equipment shed, and re-paired the existing Schlage Encode to the new owner's phone. Total time on-site: 1 hour 40 minutes. New keys: 4. The two garage remotes were programmed to the existing openers on the spot.
The owner had the cylinders he kept (3 of them) re-pinned to a single new key so he wasn't carrying seven keys on day one. That's the Addison closing call we run roughly twice a month.
